The British International School located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is a non-selective, co-educational school, catering for English-speaking children aged 3 to 18.
We provide a high quality education based on the National Curriculum of England and leading to examinations at GCSE and Advanced Level.
We are a non-profit making institution with our main source of income being fees paid by parents or their employers. Today, the school has 1200 students and upwards of 40 nationalities.
It is our aim to provide a broad and balanced education for our pupils, with a strong academic focus in a positive and pleasant environment, which will enable your child to learn and grow academically, socially, creatively and emotionally.
We have high expectations of our pupils, and our teaching and support staff have a commitment to maximising potential, and fostering and encouraging high achievement. At the same time, we promote the values of respect, compassion, trust, honesty and good manners.
Art Week raised SR4,000 and donated the funds to UNICEF charity during the school assembly held on Saturday 13th June.
Thanks goes to the pupils of the school who have helped raise over SR70,000 for the Haiti Earthquate Appeal. The chosen charity is Save the Children.
To begin at the beginning: I was born in Scotland, but moved to England when I was just four. A five year stay in Manchester began my life long interest in Manchester United. I was educated at the Royal Grammar School, Lancaster where I was a boarder for seven years. I read history at Keble College, Oxford, where I gained a first class honours degree and then completed a research degree in early modern English history.
