They will investigate a range of devices for presenting texts and use the basic conventions of speech punctuation to write dialogue. In their writing, pupils will become familiar with paragraphing to organise their ideas, develop the use of settings in their stories and experience writing their own compositions in the genres studied. The correct formation of basic joins in cursive writing is practised in handwriting and consistency in size and proportion of letters and spacing is encouraged. TOP
